Meet the baker

For Paula, baking is how love shows up.

It began the way the best things often do: making something good for people she cares about.

Paula bakes because she genuinely enjoys the whole process—from imagining the idea and choosing the flavors to adding the final detail and seeing someone's face when it arrives.

Over time, family treats grew into gifts for friends and, later, for some of the wonderful people Paula and her husband have come to know along the way. When someone makes them feel especially welcome—whether it's a favorite bartender or the staff at places like Tommy Bahama and Cooper's Hawk—baking is Paula's way of returning that kindness.

Some treats have even become traditions: Irish Car Bomb cupcakes every St. Patrick's Day, patriotic cookies for the Fourth of July, and plenty of unexpected surprises simply to brighten someone's day.
